Mouse Spider

Collapse )
Mouse Spider. This is related to the Sydney Funnelweb Spider and has the following differences:

1- It's not lethal. The bite will make you very ill but not kill you.
*Edit* You should still seek treatment if you get bitten. It's related to funnelwebs, remember.

2- It's found in the area where I live, whereas funnelwebs are not

3- It does not like to come into houses, preferring to hide in gardens and under wood piles.

4- Funnelwebs are totally black.

This spider was picked up as a rescue. The caller wanted it out of her yard -- she couldn't even stand getting close enough to spray it. Spider relocated to the bush on the edge of town.
