Around The World In 80 Beers episode 172: 4 Pines ESB
An English Bitter, from Manly in Sydney.

4 Pines ESB

Pours a very dark amber, The head is small and very little carbonation is visible.

First sip: Strong malts, followed by caramel and toffee. Mild but very long lasting hops bitterness that lingers long after the swallow. Mild carbonation tingle on the tongue.

This is a yummy beer. Malty, not sweet, not too gassy, very drinkable. It's yummy. It is warming in the belly and has a nice beer burp. Have I mentioned that this is a yummy beer? It's another one I would happily drink all day, because it's a yummy beer. It's been years since I've been to Manly. I think I need to go on a Harbour cruise on my next trip to Sydney, to raid the store of yummy beer in Manly. Because it's very, very yummy.

Please let me know when you're going to Manly, because there's a little penguin there I'd like you to meet: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/pingu2095/

He and I recently visited The Land of Steam: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15896216/

I didn't know FA allowed photographs...

(Been trying to get onto the internet since about 5:45am, managed to get on around 8:30am but the connection soon dropped out. Hope it works when I try to post this)

Photographs are permitted on FA, but it's a somewhat contentious issue. Far as I'm aware everyone's OK with photographs that feature furry material, such as fursuits, conventions and furry merchanise. However yes there is certainly debate over whether completely non-furry photographs are allowed.

Yes, some furries simply use FA as a convenient alternative to Photobucket or Flickr, and I know there have been heated altercations over this. Redtailfox had in his gallery a collection of photographs he took at a truck museum, but after disagreements with some individuals he took them down, even the ones that included himself in fursuit.

And yet I know of one particularly irritating furry who has a gallery of literally hundreds of general interest photos (mostly landscapes and cityscapes) which I doubt he took himself as they look far too professional and indicate a phenomenal amount of travelling. If I ever find out where he's been stealing them from I'll report him in a heartbeat, especially if he's been violating copyrights.

Interestingly the furry community seems very willing to accept photographs of trains, and there are quite a number of furries who regularly post photos of locomotives and rolling stock without any apparent backlash. I however respect the wishes of those who don't want non-furry photographs and all of mine do feature myself in fursuit, albeit many where my fursuit is quite clearly the less interesting feature in the scene. ;)

In that case I'll stick with Flickr and not bother posting to FA.

Probably best. I use Photobucket for that reason.

Photographs of animals would be fine on FA though. Pingu frequently posts the bird photographs he takes.

...and with idiots like this posting their unwanted criticisms FA can certainly make you feel a lot less welcome there: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13208251/#cid:95052627

His (badly-worded) profile says he has high functioning aspergers. That may be but it's no excuse for an unnecessary argument.

There are people with Aspergers, and there are people who are arseholes and used self-diagnosed Aspergers as an excuse.

I couldn't agree more, in fact those are near enough to the words I would have used myself.
