Real Ale Train

Real Ale, on tap, on a steam train.

Very nice indeed! I'm a bit envious: the Severn Valley Railway does serve Bewdley Brewery beers on board (that's why some of them have appropriate names like "Black 5 Special"!) but always bottled. Nothing wrong with that, but it would be nice to be able to get them on draught, too.

I *really* need to visit Bewdley. 8)

Well, hey.. that's one way to get rat-arsed!

Although the disclaimer at the bottom of the page is a bit worrying: The company does not guarantee that the trains will arrive or depart at the times stated and reserves the right to cancel, alter or suspend any train without notice, or to substitute a different train should this be necessary, for whatever reason.

Mind you, I guess that depends on if the crew are drinking too...

The crew had better not be partaking of the offered beverages. They could get into some serious trouble.

The disclaimer at the bottom is a standard COA (Cover Our A$$) disclaimer in case something unforeseen happens. You will find that sort of disclaimer on any tourist railroad and on any chartered outing that is offered to the general public.
