Pours a deep, opaque black with a thin beige head that lasts a long while.
First Sip: Dark roasted, but mild, malts, with stronger coffee and dark chocolates. Nice, lingering hops after-taste. Mouth feel is a little thin. Faint carbonation tingle on the tongue.
The dark malts could have been a little more prominent; even so, it's nice and goes down very easily and leaves a nice warming feeling in the stomach. I wouldn't call it a "proper" stout because it feels a little thin, but it is highly drinkable.
The brewery is in Manly. I haven't been to that end of Sydney for years.

I think I have to visit.
