The Blue Mountains, 100km west of Sydney. They are blue due to the oils out-gassing from the eucalyptus trees, which causes the blue haze.

Fluffy little clouds are pretty to look at from above but bumpy to fly through.

We flew in from the North, which gave me an excellent view of historic Goat Island, where convicts were forced to build and maintain boats in the early 1800s. The island was later used as a powder magazine. A lot of the standstone used in the early buildings was quarried here.
