Pours a deep red with a small head that fades away to a thin layer.
First Sip: A lot of hops up front, with toasted malt flavours showing up later. very little carbonation.
This is a nice beer, but I think the hops are a little too strong. The bitterness hides the toasted malt flavours so that your first taste is not yummy malts. The malt does become more noticeable as the beer warms in the glass, so this beer is best consumed at the temperature English bitters should be drunk at: cool, but not refrigerated.
