Pours a slightly cloudy bark brown. The head is medium-sized, beige and foamy. It fades to a small head. No bubbles visible in the beer.
First Sip: Mild malt, some caramel, followed by a mild hoppy bitterness that lingers as a slightly bitter after-taste. Nice carbonation tingle on the tongue. Mouth-feel is a little thin.
This is a nice beer. It's the sort of nice English traditional beer I drank so much of during my trips Over There. This is one beer I would happily drink in Moderation. (A nice non-traditional pub in Reading, by the way.) One to sip slowly; the beer improves as the glass warms.
