Around The World In 80 Beers Episode 84: Dos Equis Ambar

Still in Mexico.

Dos Equis Ambar

Pours a clear amber. Head is small that fades to a fine lacing. Carbonation is fine bubbles.

First Sip: Mild malt, with moderate hops and light bitterness. Slightly sweet malt after taste.

Even though this amber lager is a little thin and light on taste, it is a rather nice brew. It is nicely malty, not too sweet, not too bitter, highly drinkable. A nice change after those bland pales and adjuncts. And the malt becomes more noticeable as the beer warms in the glass.

I know what I'll be ordering if I ever get to Mexico.
