Pours a clear pale amber with a little carbonation. Small head that fades moderately fast.
First sip: a lot of sweet malt and a lot of hops bitertness that almost hides the bready toast and citrus flavours. Quite a lot of carbonation tingle on the tongue. Mouth-feel is a little thin and astringent.
When I first tried this beer last year I thought it was a bloody good beer, but having tried beers that are actually bloody good beers, I find this one to be merely nice, highly drinkable and tasty. It's a good beer, just not as good as some of the others. I would go as far as saying it's a yummy beer that improves as it warms in the glass.
