Quest pt9: Kingfisher Premium Lager.

I'd heard Good Things about Kingfisher and was looking forward to drinking the bottle in the fridge. But while examining the label for a url, I noticed that it was brewed under licence by Independent Breweries of Laverton, Victoria. Bugger. My beer was as Indian as a curry from Glasgow.

Kingfisher Premium Lager

The lager pours a pale gold into the glass, with a small head that fades slowly to a lacey top. First sip was nice, with a small amount of carbonation and slight fizz in the mouth, with a mid-strength malt and not too much grainyness. The hops were mild but lingered for ages.

This beer went down easily and pleasantly. It is a nice cooling ale to quaff on a hot day, or to wash down a ring-of-fire curry. I hope the real Indian Kingfisher is nicer than this, because that would be excellent.
