There were plane spotters at the end of the runway at Sydney. I counted 8, all of whom had cameras set up to take photos of planes as they landed. No one wore an anorak, though; the temp was 25C and climbing rapidly.

The flight was smooth and uneventful -- which is nice -- and I spent my time reading Tom Holt's "Life, Liberty, And The Pursuit Of Sausages" instead of watching the entertainment system. The 2.5 hour flight to Wellington is 1 hour shorter than flying to Perth.

Ad so I picked up my hire car, set up in my hotel room in Kilbirnie, had a really hot cup of tea, and went for a drive to visit Annabel from the Shadow & Flame forums. She lives just down the road from the Weta Workshops, and knows many of the people there.

And so an early night.

Today I will visit the Weta Cave, and then hit the Dr Grordbort's Exceptional Exhibition.

The small grinding noises you can hear are my teeth, being ground in utter envy!

Have fun and don't scare the Hobbits too much. ;-)
